"It's a fantastic first flight," Stratolaunch chief executive Jean Floyd said in a statement posted on the company's website.
"Today's flights are exploring our mission further to provide a flexible alternative to the onshore launch system.
"We are very proud of the Stratolaunch team, the flight crew who flew airplanes today, and our partners at Northup Grumman Scaled Composite alongside Mojave Airport and Space," Floyd added.
